RE Ranger Edge
Prescription lenses fit directly in the frame. For total prescription power up to ±4.00 (sphere plus cylinder). Prescription lens kits available.
RE Ranger Classic
Ranger's original shooting frame, with prescription lenses fitted directly. For total prescription power up to ±4.00. Prescription lens kits available.
RE Ranger Sporter
The choice for prescriptions beyond ±4.00, with no upper limit. An aviator-inspired frame in 57mm and 62mm, made to take prescription lenses, with Sporter clip-on lenses for changing light.
RE Ranger XLW
Keep your XLW shooting lenses and add a prescription insert that sits behind them. The insert is available in single vision or progressive.

RE Ranger prescription FAQs
What prescription range do the Edge and Classic support?
Up to ±4.00 total power (sphere plus cylinder). For stronger prescriptions, the Sporter is the better choice.
I have a strong prescription. Can I still wear RE Ranger?
Yes. The Sporter is made for higher prescriptions, with no upper limit, and the XLW takes a prescription insert.
Can I add prescription lenses to a frame I already own?
Yes. We make spare prescription lenses for the Edge and Classic.
Which lens colors should I choose for trap, skeet or hunting?
For bright sun, darker purples and browns help with high-contrast targets. For overcast or low light, HD Medium Gold or Max Light boost target pop. Many shooters keep two or three tints to cover morning, mid-day and late-day conditions.
Can you make progressives for shooting?
Yes. We offer single vision and progressive lenses, and can discuss aiming-eye optimization so your front sight and target stay crisp.
How long does it take to make prescription shooting lenses?
It depends on your prescription and lens options. Specialty tints and coatings can add time. We'll confirm your timing once your prescription and options are finalized.

RE Ranger Lens Color Guide
Clear lenses are best used in low light, overcast and rainy conditions and night shooting. No color distortion, see colors as they are.
Max Light for low light conditions, wooded areas, and nighttime shooting under lights. Allows for the perfect balance of light transmittance and target accentuation. A top choice for night shooting.
Medium Yellow for low light and overcast conditions. A popular yellow lens that brightens the eye by allowing a medium level of light transmittance for good enhancement in faint to moderate light.
HD Light for low light and overcast conditions, wooded areas, and nighttime shooting under lights. This high-def lens offers a clear and crisp target view, highlighting the orange target with minimum color distortions.
HD Medium for medium light conditions and wooded areas. This high-def lens offers a clear and crisp target view, providing the proper balance between the target and background.
HD Dark for bright light conditions: Perfect for sunny days, this lens will highlight the orange target in any background, but works particularly well against green backgrounds. Excellent for red color deficiencies, this lens reduces glare and enhances contrast and clarity.
Orange for medium light conditions. Excellent all-around lens for orange clay targets and open field shooting, this lens blocks haze and blue light, and enhances the orange target.
HD Copper for bright light conditions: This lens has all the properties of the HD Dark lenses, but with added blue blockers to help reduce eye fatigue. Offers a crisp and clear view and excellent for red color deficiencies.
Just like our top-selling Vermillion lens but with a lighter shade the Vermillion Medium lens is perfect for medium-light conditions and excels in open fields with mostly sunny skies and wood-covered areas enhancing colors and reducing glare.
Vermillion is ideal for medium to bright light conditions, especially in open fields or wooded areas. It enhances the visibility of orange targets by highlighting them against a green background and neutralizing surrounding greens. Excellent for red.
Light Purple for low light and overcast conditions, wooded areas, and nighttime shooting under lights. This lens dampens greens and blues, providing a light contrast of orange targets against green or blue backgrounds.
Dark Purple for medium to bright light conditions, open fields, or wooded areas. Dark Purple dampens greens and blues for contrast of orange targets against a deep blue sky and green background.
Just like our top-selling CMT lens but with a lighter shade the CMT Medium lens is perfect for bright conditions and excels in open fields and sunny skies by enhancing colors and reducing glare.
