Where does Carrera come from?

Austria, 1956. Wilhelm Anger named it after the Carrera Panamericana road race and built the first sport-fashion sunglass, the 1966 Champion. Safilo owns it now; the styling is still bold and a bit motorsport.

Carrera, Polaroid or Jaguar?

All three are Safilo. Carrera is sport-fashion, Polaroid is inexpensive polarized, Jaguar is the dressy one. Most Carrera frames take any prescription; the big shields like the Carrera 54 stop around -4.00. Many are polarized (look for the P). Two-year frame warranty.

Which Carrera models do you carry?

The Champion, the frame that started it in 1966, and the Telesto 3. Both large sunglasses; the Champion takes a prescription within a moderate range. Discontinued for us, remaining stock.
